From the Desk of the Secretary-General

 

Dear Delegates,

 

It is my honour to invite you to the Third Edition of the Victoria School Model United Nations. The conference will be held from the 15th to the 16t of March 2016, at none other than Victoria School.

 

With the success of both the First and Second Edition of the conference, VSMUN has grown to develop and train Victorians in the field of Model UN, ever since its integration into the Victoria School IP Humanities Syllabi. VSMUN has also effectively introduced and nutured a strong Model UN culture here in the grounds of Victoria School, allowing many Victorians to have a platform to develop and showcase their personal voice.

 

The past year has seen many developments in around the world, from issues such as international territorial conflicts to even the rise of extremism. It is important that we, as students of this world that we all live in, develop the ability to stand up and effect change in our ever changing global climate. And of course what better way to start than a Model UN conference. Through rigorous discourse and debate, we hope to see our fellow Victorians take on a global and futuristic lens to our environment, to build a more peaceful, progressive and prosperous future for themselves, and for generations to come.

 

Regardless of whether you are a beginner or experienced MUN delegate, I strongly encourage you to participate in this conference. MUN conferences have strongly shaped my academic experience, and hopefully it would be educational to yours too.
